Billets to Blade Intensive

Workshop Overview

Materials Included

In this intense workshop students will spend the first week under the guidance of Jason Morrissey, exploring every aspect of advanced pattern welding. Canister, explosion, tiling, multi bar and Jason’s own signature techniques will be covered.

Students will then take that material into the next week and experiment with advanced forging techniques with Nick Rossi. That could include single and double lug integral guards, full bolster integral chef knives and forge welded bolsters. This is not a complete knife workshop. Student can expect to leave with heat treated blades extra patterned materials. This will be very design intensive and students are encouraged to bring drawings and project proposals.
